Among young Vermonters with disabilities, the student-to-mental-health-facility pipeline is a tragically common trajectory. It's also an unnecessary one. This panel will follow the life of a hypothetical child from early education to inpatient hospitalization, and identify the supports and interventions that could have led to a different outcome. Panelists will outline the scope of the problem and identify changes in Vermont that are necessary to protect our kids.
